  1. There's a terrific episode of the original Outer Limits called "O.B.I.T.". A investigator is sent to a government lab regarding the murder of an employee. The lab is utilizing a new intelligence system called the Outer Band Individuated Teletracer or O.B.I.T. It allows the employees to see all other employees in real time by focusing in on their "auras". One scientist leaves his spouse because he thinks she's cheating on him. She isn't. Turns out the murder was committed by one-eyed aliens that gave humanity the technology. In the end the alien tells the employees of the lab(hence the government) that they will still win without even having to fire a shot as O.B.I.T. is the weapon. People will kill themselves and each other over pettiness and greed and avarice and stupidity because they can't stand to allow anybody to have any privaty...welcome to the world of the O.B.I.T.
