  3. Bought a car 2 years ago. Not that I needed it for work but I travel to visit my elderly mom. Using the TTC 2 years ago I was disgusted with how poorly the TTC functioned. Buses NEVER on time (the computer readouts are GARBAGE) and the the line shutdowns. That hour to 2 HOUR trip was a joke. From downtown to Willowdale. I will NEVER go back to using the TTC.

  48. Let me tell you a little story about the LOVE that lives in the village. I've lived in this neighbourhood for over 24 years. About 18 years ago, I was off work and my then spouse was at work. It was a beautiful day in May and from the 6th floor of my apartment I heard a young woman screaming- Help me! I ran out onto the balcony and could see no one but I heard her crying for help. I noticed a group of men on the upstairs patio of a rather notorious bar drinking and laughing and IGNORING her screams. I ran downstairs and discovered the young lady who had been screaming and assisted her. A man(or at least it had been a man previously) had jumped the young lady while she busy delivering a package. She was slightly injured(he had scratched her while they were struggling). He was essentially atavistic, almost a throwback. She stated he had come at her from underneath a stairwell(his living space???) and she believed intended to rape her. Because he was so far gone and she was physically capable of fighting him off she did so. I attended to her scratches and asked her if she wanted me to call the police and an ambulance. She said no, she was fine and had other packages to deliver. When I went to arrest the subject that had attacked her, he was gone. However... I will NEVER forget the way she was ignored by those supposed "men" on the upper floor patio. This was in the middle of a bright sunny day in May and they ignored her. They heard her screams and kept right on drinking. There's a reason I despise Toronto and that neighbourhood. Kitty Genovese would have been treated the same way in this supposed "civilized" bastion of the North. What a crock of shit. Don't let anyone fool you about this supposedly "loving" community. They're as repugnant, disingenuous and hypocritical as any other group. Their rainbow is a lie.
