  21. As it was earlier in Toronto's history... When the intelligentsia decided that police officers needed to come from affluent suburbs and needed post secondary educations they reckoned that these recruits would be less violent than their predecessors...they were, of course: wrong. These children of affluence, with their liberal arts degrees, had ZERO idea on how to deal with people OUTSIDE their income sphere. Raised on a steady diet of first person shooters, they turned out to be just as violent and perhaps even more prejudiced than the earlier generation of cops. Being from the neighbourhood meant you UNDERSTOOD it. This may be right for Toronto, it maybe wrong. Only time will tell.

They are also considered by portions of the intelligentsia in the West to be racist because they remain mono-cultures.
