  1.  @arfajob4246  The Irish Sea isn't deep enough or wide enough for nuclear submarines under peacetime rules. Except for a narrow channel to the west of the Isle of Man much of it isn't more than 40m deep.

  2. It wasn't a launch event. Anson has been in the water for months. It was commissioning into the RN i.e. the formal handover of the submarine from construction to the customer.
