  3.  @fork_n_spoon  If you do a little research, as far back as WW2, recruits for air forces are selected from the better educated lads and lasses. So no I didn't go into the army for that reason. The average reading age of recruits at Harrogate AFC is stated to be about 11-14yrs. Yes I've been to AFC and seen the classrooms. You wouldn't even get considered for the RAF with that reading ability.
