A large part of the reason for the economic failure of Concorde was the American aviation industry and US Government putting commercial obstacles in the way of Concordes development. The US aviation market doing what it usually does freezing out market competition.

Boeing have sat on their thumbs for too long. Instead of replacing the B737 - a 1960s fundamental design, with a newer design. Boeing deserve to lose the race for new aircraft.

Unless the aircraft has RR engines, I'm not flying in it.

There isn't currently enough production capacity at the oil refineries to make enough SAF

@jamesengland7461 How come Airbus were also frozen out/rejected for the recent competition to replace the USAF KC135s air refuelling tankers to ensure the contract went to an American company.

I'm close to retirement now but as a younger guy I trained as an A&P engineer in the UK RAF. The pay was ok. However upon leaving the RAF I found to then work in civil aircraft engineering my RAF experience and qualifications were hardly recognised. Effectively to satisfy the UK CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) engineering requirements I would have had to effectively be retrained. I get the need to be type rated for aircraft types but the CAA wanted even basic aircraft engineering training courses to be done again - adding lots of costs to the retraining. Result I left the aircraft industry - it was difficult to accept at the time, as I enjoyed/enjoy working with aircraft and associated technologies. I'm not sure what the current arrangements are for those leaving UK military aircraft engineering into the civil side. I hope its improved. And yeah - surprise surprise pay and treat your people badly they leave.

Fit refuelling probes and pipes and go 'military' and use air to air refuelling. That will extend the range for little weight penalty.

Lesson to be learned - quit Boeing and buy European Airbus aircraft.

The US aviation industry in the 1970s didn't want the competition. They put every obstruction in the way of the Concorde project to delay and block the Concorde introduction to service and hence made it commercially unviable.

The best aero engines are made in Derby

There is no benefit to the world of aviation by this stunt. Take their pilots licenses off them.

I think part of Boeings fundamental problem is the B737 is a very old design, 1960s was mentioned in the video. It dated and probably at the end of its design development life. Boeing should have started a new aircraft design5-8ys ago. But typical Amercians they want maximum $$ before anything else..
