  2. Yo, Styx, with corn being very abundant, doesn't it drive the cost down for beef? A tonne of corn cost $20 to produce, that being said, if you feed it to livestock, you save money and can farm beef cheaper than other nations. It keeps the cost of food down overall. With cheap food, you have a population that can eat cheaper than basically any other country in the world. I can't help but see advantages for government subsidized corn production. Cheap food is one of the great American advantages!
