I've walked out of multiple jobs because I usually do what you said (pulling all the weight of the younger folks) and while they stood around talking about me, humiliating me, ridiculing me, they got paid the exact same amount that I did so I just left. And, when I left, they just started throwing tantrums because now they actually have to work for their wage
