The M2 is still in wide use, the 1911 is still popular with civilians and some military users, his over under shotgun design is widely used with hunters and clay shooters, most modern handguns use his system, the pump action shotgun was invented by him, his Auto 5 is still very popular, and the 1892 is still in production. That is some serious staying power.
