  2. Galleries redevelopment plan in Bristol includes 28-storey apartment tower . This is going to hurt people here in Bristol : Another nail in the coffin of Bristol, when B/L said the galleries was empty, every one who commented said it was going to be replaced with flats. The Bristol public knows the greed of the developers and the council. So 2 questions how much is this costing the Bristol public, and can the fire brigade cope with all these high rise flats. Has anything been done about schools, doctors, for all these people. I have also noticed a lot of trees in the picture who looks after them if its the council forget it they can't look after the street trees they have now ! Schools? Doctors? When over the last twenty or so years have developers or BCC considered minor inconveniences like that? It's city centre living, they won't need schools as the plan is to drive families to the outskirts and cover everything from Bedminster to the M32 with buy to let bird box apartments where the average tenure is about three years. As for doctors, well, all those 20-30 somethings won't need those being so fit and healthy and if anything goes wrong they're within crawling distance of the BRI aren't they?

  3. So the developer is trying to squeeze every pound out of the site. Maybe their should be a ban on high rises till all properties are made safe and up to code. Plus we just making another block that later down the line is going to want millions of public money to put right a cost cutting fire risk.
