  2.  @rahbaralhaq  Apparently the Vikrant's material condition deteriorated markedly during her time at dock from 1997 to 2012, as the Indian government expected the state of Maharashtra to be responsible for all maintenance costs. Without some private partners to keep the museum ship in decent shape, corrosion set in, and the ship had constant leaks that required 24 hour pumping. It's the same sad story that has affected so many other museum ships being run on shoestrings.
