Thanks for debunking some of these rather ridiculous urban legends about Porter. As you said, simply the torpedo launch in error toward a battleship carrying the US President should have been enough to cement her place in naval history without all the other bits of drama that ended up making her the supposed unluckiest destroyer in the navy.
