  1. I was the search and rescue coordinator for my county sheriff's department for 27 years. We had an aviation department with two helicopters and one fixed wing. We assisted the CAP with their missions and then CAP provided support for our missions like missing person searches and criminal searches. They were a tremendous asset to us. We could get air searches organized in a couple hours. I really enjoyed my time working with them, and they still provide critical services today.
