Okay, two questions I haven't had answered in any of the Drydocks. First, why was the freeboard on British interwar cruisers so large. I know it probably helped with seakeeping in the Atlantic, nut the ships must have stuck out like sore thumbs. It also seems like it would require more armor to maintain hull protection compared to a more typical freeboard. Second, why did British interwar cruisers stick with three funnels for so long? I'm sure it was easier to construct than trunking funnels, but the interference with the sky view of her antiaircraft guns seems like it overwhelmed any constructional savings.

@hermitoldguy6312 Understood, but several navies had fleets in different parts of the world. The RN is the only one I know with such large freeboards for its cruisers. Why?
