  1. I'm sorry for the loss of your father. No matter how old he or you are, it's always a shock. I spent a lot ot time studying these rat and mice experiments when I was a biological psych major in the 70's. I always thought the 1:1 idea of how these rodents behaved and how humans behaved was a big mistake, and Erlich made that worse with his book. He, of course, has been proven wrong, because he never gave any weight to the human's ability to adapt and overcome. It's something to keep in mind when each new supposed crisis comes along in the popular press.
