  1. I stopped in Deadwood on a cross country tripe in March, 2005, and ran into similar, although not as extreme temperature. I stopped at about 8:00. There was about three inches of snow with a temperature of 22F. When I came out two hours later, the snow was gone, the ground was bare, and it was 58. It was like I had been transported to some other place. I'm kind of weather nerd, and enjoy changes in the weather, but that was a little much, even for me.
