  1. I can't imagine why this program should have been demonetized. If anything, you tend to bend over backwards not to violate any of the terms of service. Maybe pictures of nuclear bomb explosions are just too scary for some Youtube snowflakes.

  2. What a chance for world peace and progress was lost with the Marshall Plan. Truman offered economic aid to all nations of Europe regardless of what side of the "iron curtain" they were on. The idea of any Soviet satellite countries accepting direct US aid was just too threatening to Stalin, but there was a brief window of time in 1947 where it looked like the countries of the world might have nuclear technology regulated by an international body and economic aid and cooperation would be extended to all of Europe. Alas, it slipped through our fingers, and I spent part of my school days learning how to imitate Bert the Turtle, waiting for what seemed like the inevitable atomic attack.
