  1.  @DavidSmith-ss1cg  David, you are absolutely wrong. The Rosenbergs weren't just nice people caught up in a red scare. Look up the VENONA project for absolute proof from the Soviets themselves that they were guilty of everything they were charged with and more. This is a history channel. The next time you want to virtue signal about the failings of the US and the glories of socialism, at least do a little research first.

The Rosenbergs, Ethel's brother, David Greenglass, Harry Gold, and Klaus Fuchs were part of spy ring that passed on secrets that allowed the Soviet Union to develop their first atomic bomb at least five years ahead of schedule. They gave away secrets about the performance of the F-86 that made it easier for MiG-15 pilots to shoot them down. The Rosenbergs were the recruiters and organizers of the spy ring. You are now using the communist story that, while they might have been spies, their execution was just too brutal. That argument, also used by their communist children, was modified from the decades lone "they were totally innocent" when the secrets of Soviet spying were revealed by Soviet documents in 1995. Now the line has switched to Ethel's reputed smoke from the top of her head. Maybe Stalin's favorite form of execution would have been better - a bullet to the back of the head. I don;t know if you're actually a Soviet communist sympathizer or just a useful idiot. It's one or the other. People like you are really good at playing the reasonable humanitarian when your goal is a new communist state, but this time "doing it right". You are as transparent as cellophane.
