  1. The Indians may not have had much of a baseball team but they did have a lot of beer stands. I lived in Cleveland until 1967 and had season tickets. A lot of fans were noted for getting drunk when beer sold at its regular price of a quarter. When I heard about the ten cent beer night,after the Rangers brawl, my first reaction was this was going to be a big mistake. As it turned out, "big mistake" was an understatement.
