  1. Conductors don't "toot" the horn, Mr. Mayor. The horn is sounded by the engineer. The amount of traffic goes up and down on the Lakewood line, but 6 trains a day would be a lot. Back when the Nickel Plate owned the line, it was double tracked, used steam engines until 1961, and had about 40 trains a day. The railroad was there before the houses. People in previous generations learned to live with train noise. In the days of steam engines and jointed rail, the noise was much worse. Some of you sound like snowflakes that just noticed there was a railroad crossing next to your house. Grow up.

  2. Bedford used to be a nice suburban town when I lived there in the early 60's. Now Bedford and Maple Heights are being dragged under by the black undertow coming out of Cleveland. Probably at least one of the reasons Walmart closed.
