Thanks, Jim. You are doing a real public service exposing these scammers.

@callmegary2622 I think these were used by the BBC as part of their scam documentary, so he didn't want to release them until after the Indian police arrested these people.

This is a lot better than Youtube Rewind 2018.

Thanks for all your hard work, Jim, exposing these rats. I don't think it's too much to say we should let people know that anyone with an Indian accent you talk to about a supposed computer problem is a scammer. .

Makes you wonder if "Nancy" has a mother or if she's just a spawn of Satan.

Just an amazing amount of work you've done with this gang. Jim, you have my undying admiration.

Congratulations, Jim. You've done great work and well deserve the million subs. All the changes look great.

It's unfortunate the British police can't give you a commision as a reserve officer. I don't even know if the British police have such things but it might be called an auxiliary officer or special officer. You would instantly have some credibility when you are calling people without having to explain your work on Youtube. I was a reserve officer in the US for 27 years. It was essentially a volunteer position, but I had all the training of a regular officer and was a commissioned peace officer. If you could be appointed with some kind of limited status so you didn't have to go through all the training but you could act as an officer when you are notifying victims, it would be a great help. I would think whatever agency handles cyber crime would snap you up given your proven knowledge of these scammers and your computer skills.

Fantastic work, Jim, and fantastic generosity from Rory. As a former US police officer, it's more than a little hilarious seeing those unarmed Indian cops walking hand in hand with suspects like they're out on a first date. :-)

@JimBrowning Even back 15 years ago, I put on gloves when I could before going hands on with anyone, and for sure if I was moving a prisoner. And why the heck did they bring these two outside? I'm sure the lights in the building were bright enough to record a video. If I was either of those two, I would have been hightailing it as soon as I got out of the door. What are they going to do, shoot me?

My sister got taken by one of these scammers for $2800 last year. My brother and I have many years working with computer networks and the internet and know most of these scams. We've told her to never allow anyone to get her bank account details without calling us first. This guy, and it may have been one of them from this nest of vipers, browbeat her until she let them have access to her computer and then her bank account. She's a trusting and gullible person, and she was told not to tell anyone until she transferred the money since many people were in on the supposed scam. She never called me or my brother, so that's on her, but these guys are good at telling who's gullible enough to fall for their scam and keeping them engaged until they have their money. The whole thing only took about 45 minutes. When she saw her money was gone from her checking account, she finally did call me. I told her to file a police report, but I was certain "Paul from New Jersey" wasn't really either of those things. She was able to recover part of her money as a theft loss on her taxes, so anyone who has fallen victim to one of these scumbags should make sure they talk to a good tax preparer about it. I'd like to think this has taught her a lesson, but I rather doubt it.

That opening was great! Happy New Year, and I'll look forward to a continuing parade of idiots.

Maybe call the bank and see if you can set up a three way call. Really, though, some people just can't be saved. You always do the best you can so don't beat yourself up over one failure. EDIT: Find out if he belongs to a church. If so, get the number and see if you can talk to his pastor.

Good job, boys. The utility wiring in India is positively scary.

FHT is Fhtpay (http://www.fhtpay.hk/index.jsp). It's a payment processor out of Hong Kong that's using a server in Canada. It seems legit on the surface but some reports are that it's now being used by Indian scammers.
