Talk to Tito and the Partisans about organizing civilians into an effective fighting force. It can be done with the right motivation.

It's also likely that a Poland resisting both Germany and the USSR for even six months would likely bring French and British allies into the war much sooner, with both militaries being less fearful of moving in troops by sea and air. The role of Polish radar directed AAA fire and AAA missiles and manpads would likely be greater than the more numerous but only optically aimed German or Soviet defenses. UAV's, orders of magnitudes better communications systems, and access to satellite recon would have a greater effect than maybe you have given the Poles in this scenario. It's all conjecture, of course, but Stalin, knowing Germany presented the greatest threat, would probably have come to some kind of armistice agreement with the Poles, especially with German forces not taking much part in the remaining war, and Poland not being the walkover the Soviets expected.

The Germans developed a high speed single and double sideband submarine radio system called Kurier in August, 1944. It replaced the conventional code signals with high speed bursts of 10 words in less than a second, then switched to another frequency and sideband for another burst, and so on until the message was complete. We have examples of the transmitters but no receivers have survived It is presumed that the last character of each transmission was a data burst telling the receiver what frequency and sideband to switch to for the next message part. All German reports were this was a highly effective system, and none of the Allies ever reported being able to successfully D/F a Kurier signal. The RN and USN weren't even aware of the system until war's end. If the Germans had developed this system two years earlier it would have crippled British efforts to locate German submarines by D/F.

Norway has the largest merchant fleet in the world. That's a lot of bottoms to carry troops and supplies. Norway's nearly brand new frigates and submarines would also be a problem for Russia.

It takes a long time to plan, build, and commission a ship. The 075 class LHD's, for example, first started planning no earlier than 2011, and the first was probably building starting sometime in 2016, launching in 2019, and commissioning just this month. No navy, the Chinese included, builds a navy based on who's in power today. It's done based on guessing who will be in power ten years from now. The real world in not like a video game.

The USN is desperate for a replacement frigate, so they will hold their nose and buy the Italian design. Let's face it, the USN designed ships of the past 20 years have been pretty sorry.

You seem to have completely overlooked mine laying and minesweeping. Minefields and barrages played a crucial role in WWII, and there's no reason to think they won't do so again.

Establishing bases in the Arctic is still incredibly difficult. Climate change, such as it is, doesn't make the Arctic into a place like Oslo or Toronto. The idea of China using the Arctic as some kind of trade route is laughable. I'm getting the feeling this was a one off to get your ad campaign going rather than the serious videos you usually produce. As such, I won't be using Tab for a Cause.

@PumpkinEater-dm1xx You must mean Helge Ingstad sunk after the collision with a Maltese registered tanker. Poor commanding and the angle of collision causing seven out of thirteen watertight bullheads to breached. Human error combined with pure bad luck, but Norway still has four left.

@sebastianwurtz5294 I should have said Norway has the largest merchant fleet under the control of a single country where that country isn't a flag of convenience....lol.

@micasa8421 The Chinese military won't be fighting Trump or Biden. It will be be fighting the US military, so the only thing they care about is relative strength. They know that, unlike China, there can be a complete change in leadership every four years. It makes a lot more sense for them to try to influence an election where their candidate is in favor of cutting US military expenditures than worrying about mean tweets. They wanted to see Biden win not because he was soft on China but because his social justice spending isn't going to leave much left over for military spending. If they can spend a lot on their military while we cut back on ours, they are in favor of whoever will make that happen.
