Another Democrat that only knows what he thinks is wrong but has no plans to change any of it.

LOL. I guess Cuban has never had to buy an NBA ticket if he wants to see price gouging. What a complete scumbag.

Mary Murdock I looked up psychotic person and, son of a gun, there was your name and picture. You need to lose about 50 pounds and stop shopping for clothes at the Goodwill.

I'm not a tinfoil hat kind of guy, but you're absolutely right about this. The Democrats know the only way to defeat Trump is to first crash the markets, then the broader economy. The coronavirus has a low mortality rate. We know this from people in western countries who've gotten the virus with a mortality rate of less than 3%. The 2012-2013 severe flu outbreak was also from a novel virus. It also spread around the world, but the overall mortality rate was 5.1%, and 42,500 people died in the US alone. We didn't shut down the whole country and go around wearing masks because the media's goal wasn't to terrify people then. It is now, and Trump needs to get on TV and tell the people the government is handling this, the markets aren't going to zero, and we're not all going to die. This is a time for soothing words, not the usual crap about Mini Mike and Sleepy Joe. This is a bigger threat to his reelection than any Democratic hopeful.

I don't know anyone who passed away. How many of the rest of you do? Don't you get this Scott? You are now part of the fear factor.

Those of us with chronic pain are being killed by the DEA because it's getting harder and harder to get the pain medication that allows us to lead a normal life. The "opioid crisis" is not being caused by people who need these life saving drugs. It's coming from China and illegal drug labs. Since the DEA seems to be totally incapable of stopping those sources of supply to street users, they attack those of us with chronic, debilitating pain, threaten doctors with losing their licenses if they don't get us off opioids regardless of the consequences to their patients, and declare victory. This whole thing is nothing but a moral panic, and everyone from President Trump on down is buying into it. .

Jerry "Tinfoil Hat" Nadler.

Good grief. If you work for a law enforcement agency, stay the hell off facebook. There are groups whu spend their time trolling through all the post b anyone who identifies and law enforcement officer looking for things that give the slightest hint you're not down with the cause. Don't do it.

Jerry Rivers, the master of obfuscation and rambling.

When he says he's looking at things "very strongly" or things will happen "very quickly", that means it won't be strongly or quickly. It's time for action, not more words.

Right. Ivanka Trump with 151 subs to an account just set up July 3, and has no content at all. Sure.

@osric1730 You transfer staff from nursing homes and acutes to care for the elderly in places like the Javits and the USNS Comfort. Acute hospitals had imported staff from out of state to care for a tidal wave that never came, so they can do the subacute care needed by some of the elderly. It's not like RNs, LPN,s and aides have no training caring for the elderly. They did it every day before Covid showed up. The problem is Cuomo had his own answer - send them back to nursing homes. These were patients already diagnosed with the virus, not just elderly requiring ADL care. There were answers unless you're a hammer. Then, everything looked like a nail.

@coreycannon6590 So I shut it down, yet here you are as the 49th reply to this thread. do you see even a minor inconsistency in that? My "perfect solution", what ever that means, is your characterization of something I just don't do, since we have no perfect solutions. Now, if you want to discuss the facts you think you have right and I have wrong, I'm happy to listen.

Trumps "buddy". LOL, just keep living in your TDS world. Epstein was buddies with a heck of lot more Dems than Reps, including Clinton.

It was a construction collapse, not a hotel collapse. The hotel isn't complete and no guests are inside. Kind of clickbait title for this one.

@Dihorse371 Are U unable to write 2 sentences w/o a bunch of abvs n single letters substituting 4 whole words? Is ur keyboard broken? Ur thumbs don't wrk right on ur phone? This looks like it came frm a 12 yr old girl.

Leftists always do what this bitch did. If you keep holding their feet to the fire they eventually throw up their hands, give you that "you're stupid" sigh, and tell you they just don't want to discuss it any longer. Get bent Kirsten, and all your ilk.

OMG! Hot Lips Hoolihan, what the hell happened to your face? This shows the danger of one too many face lifts.

eight or ten cops dragging this guy, all getting exposed, just to "save" people on a bus. We are becoming communist China. I was a police officer for 27 years and I would quit before I participated in this arrest. There must be some other item of importance to the police where their time could have been better used. OTOH, don't resist arrest like that. It will be the main charge in court. Argue your case before a judge, not on a bus.

Maybe the tornado also have coronavirus. Cripes, don't you people ever get off the virus train? Fox has turned into one of the biggest spreaders of FUD about this. Are you trying to outdo CNN or what?
1
This is what happens when you elect an outright communist as mayor. Knowing New Yorkers, they will elect another communist. This goofball Rose is only saying what he thinks all these small business owners who vote and contribute to his campaign. We don';t need the SPA to make more PPE's for small businesses. People will naturally stay away from each other. We don't need everyone wearing fear masks and gloves. That's pure virtue signaling.

Correction - those are not facts. They are statistical projections based on very little data and a lot of assumptions. It would be a lot better if the White House stopped making these kinds of projections before we end up with the statistical problems of climate change.

You can't buy back what you never owned. "Buy backs" usually do nothing but remove non-functional and obsolete firearms from the streets that were never a problem anyway.

@osric1730 The question was nursing home patients that were transferred to acute hospitals with medical problems other than Covid, who got Covid at the hospital, and were then discharged back to nursing homes before they had cleared the virus. They were the ones who were patient zero in NY nursing homes, as they would have been in any state if the governor told nursing homes they had to accept the patients or get their licenses pulled. Elderly patients testing positive with no symptoms should have been sent to the Javits Center facility for the fourteen day isolation period. Acute hospitals have had the training and had the equipment to care for infectious patients. With very few exceptions, nursing homes don't.
1
@coreycannon6590 Okay, I didn't read your response as agreeing with me. I really don't have time to go through all the comments now to track down what I said about the hospital ship. My feeling at the time, based on what I know about how hospitals in crisis run, was that most hospitals in NYC weren't in crisis, and some judicious moving of patients would generally relieve the stresses on those that were near a breaking point. Instead, Trump got bamboozled by Cuomo into sending him free hospital beds. No governor in his right mind would turn that down, need or not. The utter waste of an emergency activation of two hospital ships now falls on Trump's shoulders, not Cuomo or Newsom.

Morons. It's Cleveland with the Chef Boyardee, not Coumbus, and there;s no petition about a statute of Boyardee in Columbus. At least get your won headlines right.

That would be *Piers". It's important to get the name right if we're going to support a person.

Listening to a guy with zero medical knowledge talking about coronavirus, and it's from yesterday at that. I think I'll pass.

What's he supposed to do? Hide under the desk signing executive orders all day? We all need to get out in the sun and exercise more. He's no different than the rest of us, wanting to do something normal again.
1
@turnne Really? Tell me about those "standard drugs". Give me some names. Of course narcotics get you habituated. That's how they work. It's a choice between sitting in a chair or layinging in bed all day because the pain is so bad you can't do any normal activities or being habituated. People like me don't have to turn to the streets, at least not yet. The ones getting narcotics on the street, and it's mostly heroin and fentanyl, do so to get high. The only effect I get from narcotics is enough pain relief to make life tolerable. When we can no longer get enough narcotics for effective pain relief we'll just die from things like pneumonia and general wasting. That's part of the plan. The more of us who die, the longer Social Security and Medicare will last.
1
@turnne You really have no idea about chronic acute pain, do you? Anyone with insurance will continue to get any narcotics prescribed by a doctor paid for. That''s not an issue at all. Where did you even come up with that idea? The problem is the constant pressure being placed on doctors by the DEA and their own liability insurance carriers to take their patients off narcotics regardless of the patient's subjective reporting of pain. If some people turn ot illegal sources, it won't be because of addiction, it will because of unbearable pain. That's the difference between addiction and habituation. Addicts want to get high. Habituated chronic pain patients want to be able to stand up or turn their neck without excruciating pain. As I wrote in my original comment, narcotics cause habituation in chronic pain patients. It's the way narcotics work. That's not the same as people who have the disease of addiction with no other medical condition.

This is more than a "health scare". It was a heart attack that required two stents to bypass some significant blockages. Depending on the seriousness of his heart damage, he may be out of the race completely.
