  1. It's useless, and what would the police be able to do? Maybe take a report for insurance purposes and not much else. My guess is you'd be told to come to the station Monday and get a report there. Police in Detroit don't really have the time to take a property damage report with no suspects.

  2. I live in a hick town in Alabama. Except for some fireworks and the sound of one semiautomatic rifle that fired off maybe five rounds, it was totally quiet here on New Year's Eve. I always like how people use Alabama as some sort of excuse why cities like Detroit really aren't so bad. I grew up in Cleveland, and yes, they are a hell of a lot worse. And, Karama, people in Detroit aren't allowed to shoot a firearm in city limits except in self-defense. It's also against the law to rob gas stations, sell heroin, or murder someone. Understand the problem now?
