  2. This is the area I grew up. A lot of the housing was built by the railroads and mills and sold tom their workers. They were packed in as close as they could get them with almost no yards. You can see how the same house plan was used on whole streets, one after another of the same front exacly the same distance from the street. It was never the best area when I was a kid in the 50's but working poeple needed a place to live. People with a little more money bought a bigger two family so the rent would help pay the mortgage. Now most of those houses sell for $30,000 or less.

  3. I'm 71. I left Cleveland in 1967 to move to California. Best decision of my life. I still have relatives in Cleveland.

  4. No, I left California 12 years ago because it is headed in the same direction as Cleveland. I now live in a much smaller state and life is a lot better. Everytime I go back to Cleveland for a visit I'm sad. Downtown and a small ring around the center is the only part of the city that doesn't look like it was hit by a nuclear bomb.
