Are all the three story houses three family units? I don't think I've seen that before. The structures are really too big for the lots. Gives those narrow streets a really hulking and not very attractive look.

@mookdatruth1996 Dang. Makes me wonder hot tall the ceilings are on some of those third floors. I live in a house with 12 and 14 foot ceilings. I think I'd feel like I was in a cave in one of those.

@dalemcnamee2427 I see very few three story houses in Detroit. Two story, two family homes are the norm.

@mookdatruth1996 That's what it looks like just seeing the windows compared to rooflines on the third floors.

@seanmack7903 It sounds like you know a lot more about residential construction that I do so I'll defer to your judgement. Still, almost every two and three family home I've been in has the tallest ceilings on the first floor and decreasing clearance as you went up. These were homes generally owned by the first floor occupant, so the first floor was a little nicer than the other floors. I don't know if those were also owner occupied.
