  1. Did the Germans publicize the "capture" of the plane? The Hurricane was approaching obsolescence by September, 1941, and there wasn't much about the plane that wasn't already know to the Luftwaffe. A Czech pilot as a turncoat may have had propaganda value in occupied Czechoslovakia but I've never heard of the incident being publicized. There must be more to this story.
