  2. What makes you think that? There are many Germans, amateurs and professionals, looking for war material that spend weekends across the border in Denmark looking for war material left behind.

  3. They were blackout headlights. Most of the light was covered, with the slot providing just enough light for the driver to see the road 50 feet ahead but not enough for the car to be seen from the air at night. They were used on almost German vehicles during the war.

  4.  @MrRaptor2x  You're welcome. Most countries in WWII had some variation of that blackout scheme. You could even buy light bulbs in the US with that kind of slit on the bottom of an otherwise blacked out bulb so you could see the floor but not show any light to aircraft when you opened the door to your house.
