  7. All these stores needed to to put a stop to this was immediately put on a limit of two units per person. Because these stores were either too dumb to realize what was happening or just wanted to maximize sales, it took less than a week to clear out all the above ground inventory of things like hand sanitizer, masks, and toilet paper. One of the changes that has to take place in planning for the next disaster is requiring an immediate limit on purchases as soon as any item starts to sell at 25% above the average of daily sales the past four weeks. This is easy to do with today's sophisticated point of sale software, but it has to be a requirement for every store. Failure to take this simple step means that hand sanitizer and N95 masks are still not generally available over two months after this hysteria began.

  12. An "emergency siren"? First, lights aren't sirens. Second, how often does the Empire State Building let loose with that blast that sounds nothing like a siren? More like some kind of nuke plant alarm. People living or working near there already have enough noise to put up with from actual sirens without the Empire State Building blaring out even more noise.   15. Hospital employees, and especially lower paid employees, with always steal things that can be readily resold, usually at a substantial profit. I saw it repeatedly in my 20 years of working hospitals, and I have no reason to think it;s not happening again. All the hospitals can do is keep the high demand, easily portable inventory under lick and key and make people sign out for them. Otherwise, they will walk out the back door faster than you can bring them in the front door.

  16. The real terror on the part of Democrats is that the reopening won't show a spike that hospitals can't handle. There will always be an increase in cases because we are doing more testing. The real criteria should always have been hospital admissions declining along with new deaths. There will be spike, but there will be spikes if we open tomorrow or two months from now. People like Dr. Fauci have never been able to explain that.

  17. There's very little evidence that NYC actually needs 30,000 ventilators. Even the most pessimistic projections show that there wouldn't be more than 15,000 ventilators in use at any one time. Not every IUCU bed requires a ventilator, and those that do generally don't require them for more than 3-4 days, because patients either can start breathing on their own using supplemental oxygen or they die.

This is what happens when an international health agency is run by a non-doctor who worked for a viciously totalitarian government in Ethiopia, was a lifelong Marxist revolutionary himself, and was only put in charge in May, 2017 at the strong "suggestion" of the Chinese government. Strangely, it was only about 18 months after his installation that a pandemic virus that came from China needed a strong voice to downplay the role of China in this as well as deny person to person transmission long enough to lull the rest of the world into complacency. Probably just a coincidence though.

Detroit has the highest paid public school teachers in the country yet less than 30% graduate public high schools and 50% are functionally illiterate.

When they stray from that, there are consequences. Many men have let the demands of women determine how they'll respond. My only response is what would I do if another guy did this to me? I'll respond in exactly the same way to a women. If you come at me swinging there's a good chance you'll end up on your back seeing stars. Don't like that, ladies? Then keep your hands to yourself and we won't have any problems.

I'm not being disrespectful, but what did you expect to happen if you have to live with this flock of young women in DC? These are hard core committed Democrats who think Trump is worse than Hitler. Try to get a rental going where you're all Republicans, or just don't live in DC. There are some areas surrounding DC that are not so heavily Democrat.

  41.  @cincin2u  I think you're reaching on this one. Most people in London have never heard an actual gunshot, and have certainly never been within earshot of a police shooting. To them, it's the kind of thing that only happens in the wild west of the US. The police thought the scumbag had a suicide vest. Standard procedure is a gunshot to the cranium. That disconnects his nerves from his hands so he can't manually set off the vest. Sounds like the London police did a good job. Too bad the dead and injured had to wait for other civilians to risk their lives with no self defense weapons. Kudos to them too.

  49.  @열이-f6j  Walmart is not part of the mall. It's a completely separate building. The shooter was never in the mall but the police cleared it out just in case there was more than one shooter. No one in the mall was in any danger. There's a time to take videos and time not to. This was one of those times not to. Keep your arms in the air like you were told to do and forget about your damn phone for once.

  50. The "Congress Jail" is a holding facility for the Capitol Police until a prisoner can be transferred ot the appropriate federal facility. It can't be used as a jail for a contempt citation. That has to go before a federal court, and the court will quash the subpoena as soon as Trump claims executive privilege. It's all just noise from the Democrats.
