Couldn't agree more. Britain has gone from one of the most admired countries in the world to a nearly third world country in less than two generations. It does make think this couldn't have happened without some high level planning. I'm just hoping that we in the US can escape the fate of our Mother Country.

@bens1972 No, narcissistic is exactly the right word for someone who believes you know that 53% of your countrymen are "disgruntled, envious, racist and ignorant". Also a apt description for someone who's ignorant enough to believe Britain had a healthy economy except for that one vote that killed everything.

@bens1972 You leftists just seem to make things up to bolster your argument. The UK has been the world's fifth largest economy since at least 2007. That hasn't changed since Brexit because none of the trading schemes have changed. You are still a member of the EU as of today. The UK has been one of the world's sickest economies among developed nations. Debt per capita is one of the highest in the world, government borrowings is one of the highest in the world, and productivity has been stagnant since 2014. The GDP has been falling since 2014. None of these are signs of a healthy economy. My knowledge of the English language is good enough to tell me the first definition of word is not the only one. The definition that applies to you is "Magical thinking: Narcissists see themselves as perfect, using distortion and illusion known as magical thinking. They also use projection to "dump" shame onto others." It's people like you that feel so special and entitled that you can pass justment on the majority of your countrymen because you think your level of understanding is so far above all the "little people". You know, like the ones that voted for Brexit. Finally, we get the last refuge of today's leftists - Trump Derangement Syndrome. The "people" (your quotes, not mine) are so ignorant and stupid that they voted for someone you don't like. Because of this, the whole concept of democracy is now in question. Well, unless your ilk manages to get a do-over for Brexit and enough "people" vote to stay. Then, since they voted the way you wanted them to, democracy is now good again.

A lifetime driving license? Here in the US, my license expires every five years. That minister was a twat. Public transport thrives when it's faster, more convenient, safer, and cheaper than driving a car. The minister, with his posh accent, seemed like he was fine with taxing the crap out of cars and petrol to force drivers out of their cars. Compulsory seat belts are now a feature in all of the western world. I'm sure much to the minister's dismay, Wales now has motorways, allowing the lower classes to get London and see the Queen.
