  1. We moved to California from Ohio right after we got married in in the spring of 1965.It was like a paradise. The weather was good all the time, it never snowed, taxes were low, housing was cheap, and college cost almost nothing. It was easy to find good jobs, gas was 28 cents a gallon, many stations were open 24 hours a day, grocery stores were open 24 hours a day, and even K-Mart was open 24 hours. The bad thing was the smog, so thick that you couldn't see a mile on hot days. Now everything else is way more awful, but the air is cleaner. Seems like a a hell of a trade off.

In addition, it's now more than two years after this video was made, and the only black swan events were Brexit and Trump. Brexit did not cause an immediate collapse of the British or European Union economies and Trump's election has sent the US markets to record or near level record levels. In the meantime, gold prices are down to levels not seen in a year and over $800 below those of 2011. Keep all this in mind the next time you read something from a website claiming to predict the future.

  37.  @interlinkplus8236  I did a little more digging myself, and it appears this "story" came from the Clover Chronicle site, well known for spreading poorly sourced conspiracy theories. If you see anything on FB from them, there's a good chance it's false or at least misleading. They were also spreading the story that Connor Betts actually died in 2014 based on an obituary from Hartford Ct of a completely different person. The conspiracy nuts jumped on it because he also had a sister named Megan. Even though she had a different middle name and birthdate than the one killed in Dayton, this was evidence of reprogramming person to become not only a shooter but to also reprogram someone else to be his sister and get killed. You just can't reason with these people.

  39. Our Walmart parking lot is littered with gloves all the Karens take off and throw wherever they like. I'm 74 and will not wear a mask. I have COPD, and a mask reduces my oxygen intake by 5%. I don't have 5% to spare. In addition, once a mask gets wet from your own breathing, it becomes dangerous -- to you! We all have viruses that live in us but are kept under control by our immune system. Once you reduce your oxygen intake and start rebreathing your own exhalations, you run the risk of activating those viruses and making yourself sick. Wash your hands, use hand sanitizer, and stay away from people the best you can. There's nothing magic about six feet. Just try not to get in front of people's faces. Wear gloves and a mask if it makes you feel better, but don't kid yourself that they are offering you any real protection.

  50. Lax drug laws. I'm 73 and have advanced chronic degenerative disease with narrowing of all the parts of my cervical spine that are impinging on the nerves. My cervical spine is essentially collapsing. The condition is inoperable at my age, and epidurals help for about a week. I'm in constant severe pain every single day. The answer from American medicine today? Constantly reduce the amount of painkillers I'm on because the DEA can't stop illegal use of drugs, so they go after the people in verifiable chronic pain and declare victory. Paul, you need to do a bit more research on this before hopping on the "opioid crisis" bandwagon.
