That is a great video. How old were when your parents and grandparents passed away? I can tell by tone of your voice you really loved them and they loved you. We tend not to spend a lot of time on the parents and grandparents now. They just show up part way though our lives then pass on.

You grow tired because it seems like the stories of your grandparents on the farm are getting old? From how you write, it appears you understood almost nothing about the USSR and the lives of average people. I feel like the videos so far have barely scratched the surface. Maybe you should be watching videos about people stopping off at the casino on the way out of town to their dachas.

I'm glad yo hear your parents are still doing well. I'm 71, and my parents died within a year of each other in 2005. It was really quite a shock, even at my age. I was very lucky that my maternal grandmother and fraternal grandmother and grandmother lives into their late 80's so I was able to spend some time with them when I was an adult. We in the US don't really pay much attention to our grandparents. They are just old, and it's time that they moved on. It's one of the reasons we are really kind of a mess as a country. The USSR didn't have a lot of material wealth but they did have, and still have, the wealth of respecting their elders.

"Belligerent idiot". Did it take of lot of thinking to come up with that one? It must have, since you chose not actually address any off my points. It's tough, I realize, since your knowledge comes exclusively from Wikipedia.
