You've got to love that old Soviet iron. It seems as if adding chrome covered many other defects. I was a kid in the 50's and early 60's. We were outside every day in the summer, riding our bikes off somewhere to swim or fish. We played baseball in the summer, football in the fall, and hockey in the winter. Except for watching cartoons or the few TV shows that appealed to me, I couldn't imagine being stuck inside. Even as a young adult, I was still outside whenever I could be. I went to school to be a respiratory therapist and my wife was an RN. We had two children but were still able to buy a house by the time we were 26. It was a better life from the 50's to the early 70's. Things started to decline after that, but this is still the best country on the globe to live in.
