  1. Anything made after 1986 isn't legal. That's why this one is semi-auto. There seems to be a general idea you can buy any full auto weapon with just a $200 NFA transfer stamp. It's not true.

  2. The FRA is pretty clear with a May, 1986 date for an automatic weapon to be legal for possession or ownership. There are exceptions for some classes of dealers and manufacturers, and there may be other exceptions I'm not aware of them. Unfortunately, machine guns are a bit out of my price range.
