"North Koreans" - not again, please.
49
When narrative and reality collide, reality wins.
34
Have people here heard about Gonzalo Lira?
32
Do people here know about Gonzalo Lira?
28
"Giving up" - The nuclear arms were Soviet, not Ukrainian.
23
"Incredible" sums it up well.
22
Are the experts interviewed here looking at Ukrainian war crimes too?
20
Does anybody here understand what the Ukrainians are trying to achieve in Kursk?
19
I don't understand why Russia would want a ceasefire now, only to renew the fighting later. Wouldn't it be simpler to just carry on?
17
Does anybody here believe that figure?
17
I believe that the Russians had no choice. For them it is an existential issue.
16
Using the interest on somebody else's assets is simply theft.
16
John Holland "knows his onions"? Tulips, surely!
15
One gets the feeling that Mr de Bretton-Gordon, a thorougly decent man, is nor the sharpest pencil in the box.
15
Static? Vuhledar liberated. Gorniak ditto. Russian troops have reached the centre of Kurachovo. In the mean time, General Syrski has declared that all the aims of the Kursk excursion have been reached. Draw your own conclusions.
14
People with two or more brain cells, perhaps?
14
If one is prepared to turn to theft...
14
Vuhledar was liberated.
13
How is this different from theft?
13
17th century? Hmm... didn't Poland conquer Moscow at the time? Trying to install a false czar (Demetrius)? It didn't work out, though... Then there was Napoleon. After that, the Germans in 1914. Followed by the Allied forces in 1918/19. Then, the Poles in 1920. Finally, Hitler.
12
Principles of modern Toryism: "Free trade, national identity, stronger fences". Did I get this right? I don't recognise any of these admirable principles in today's Conservative politics.
12
The ISW reporting, citing Ukrainian sources. Hmm...
12
So they say. The Russians haven't noticed.
11
President Trump did not say that the Ukraine "started the war". He said that the war could have been prevented and a deal could have been struck. Which is true.
11
Russian gas is much better value than US LNG. Replacing the dependence on Russia with a dependence on the US will make Europe's industry less competitive.
11
Does anybody here understand what the Ukrainians are trying to achieve in Kursk?
11
Could it perhaps be removed altogether?
11
Maybe because Russia has no problem with recruitment?
11
Was the invasion of Iraq legal?
11
Hearing a woman talk about war in a flirtatious voice grates on me.
10
When the Ukraine attacks the Russian energy grid, does that not affect Russian civilians?
10
The threat to European stability is Europe itself, not Russia.
10
Rumours have it that Hotel Bristol (with some important guests) was hit. Oddly, our hosts have decided to remain silent about it.
10
"Seizing Russian assets." - How is this different from theft?
10
If Mr Cohen thinks that Marco Rubio is second-rate, I wonders what he makes of Rachel Reeves and David Lammy.
10
"Trump expects loyalty." - How dare he? 😊
10
"No real movement." Hmm...
10
It is remarkable how much our hosts know about North Korean soldiers that don't even exist.
10
I understand that Chechnya is a Russian republic, a member of the Russian federation. It is therefore not surprising that Chechen soldiers should be fighting in the Russian army. - There are no North Korean soldiers fighting in Kursk or in the Donbass. As for Chinese soldiers, we are in fantasy land.
10
Why would the Russians pull back from any of their conditions? They are winning the war. - Meanwhile, the Ukrainians are turning more and more into incarnations of Monty Python's Black Knight.
9
The "3-day" bit is pure fantasy.
9
Would anybody here buy a second-hand car from Mr Yermak?
9
Has anybody here seen any evidence for Korean troups fighting for Russia?
9
 @drewmalesky9869 Evidence for "imperial ambitions"?
9
Has Mr Zelensky repealed his decree ruling out negotiations with President Putin?
9
Using the proceeds of frozen assets - how is this different from theft?
9
It was not "their" nukes but Soviet nukes stationed in Ukrainian territory. The Ukrainian SSR never had control over them. - The Budapest memorandum, as I understand it, was not legally binding. In view of what has transpired since 1994, it is no longer relevant anyway.
9
The betrayal of Poland by England and France in 1939, perhaps?
9
I am sure President Putin will be ever so grateful to President Trump for updating him on Russia's position. 😊
9
How true is this? My understanding is that the Russians are not using conscripts at all in the SMO.
