@Slicksterzz they absolutely should without a doubt but if that obsession hinders you from going forward then it's a problem I suggest a book called The Divided mind. A lot of us have past trauma it gets addressed and then you should move on. As I said obsessiveness with past events that's not lead to a good future. Balancing and figuring out when you are researching something to just call bulshit as opposed to when you have become obsessed with something are a very slippery slope
