I firmly believe there's no way learning Rust will be useful 5 years from now.

indeed. And I don't reach for the down arrow, I use my nipple and the middle button to scroll - it's more analogue.

We used to use UPSes in australia.. that was, ok.

"...and I've used emacs" me too!! M-x doctor

I use chat gpt every day, and copilot. I find it incomprehensible how so many seemingly clever people poo poo it. It's like how some people don't know how to use Google. It's helps, but it doesn't solve all your problems for you. But! It's very very very helpful. I hardly use Google now unless I think the llm is wrong.

Rust isn't fastest ❤ close though

@KJMcLaws evil files :)

Dataview?! Mind blown.. obsidian.. mind keeps getting blown. So I had an idea for a plugin: GPT reformat my note nicely button. I've done this manually by hand and the results are stunning.

Napping at lunchtime is powerful.

@NoBoilerplate the whole anti sleep thing needs to die. I love going to sleep.

Wow, never realised how much like (modern) php rust is

@NoBoilerplate just namespaces, generators, strong typing and the general syntax feels similar.. Ish. Definitely excited to try it now. Any recommendations for packages for making fast APIs? Like fast API in python..

This pretty much sums up the state of bad software these days.. stuff gets released before it's finished.

Thoughts: - "Born to run" is an awesome book. - "Healthy" is questionable here. A lot of these drinks are full of sweeteners, there's probably too many carbs in them and I'd be really interested to know what the glycemic index of 'blended' food is.. probably not great... simply having your food in a non-blended form changes its insulin response in your body. - EU duck.. two thumbs up.. I'm still facepalming all this time later. - I personally think it's better to batch book real meals and freeze/reheat as required - I also totally get why huel etc is so popular. I almost went down that path a few years back, but was put off after trying some of it.

Ok the tmux replacements got me

@NoBoilerplate yeah, for some reason cargo would just blow up trying to compile (m1 mac related?) so I just used brew which worked easy.

I can't rustist any more!

Your videos are absolute gold! Do you do any public talks or anything like that? Would very much like to listen to you talk IRL
2
@NoBoilerplate have you done much public speaking? It's quite fun
2
@NoBoilerplate been doing 18-6 all week, it's been ROUGH....but very, very effective.

I hear rust has political issues at the top.. Should i be concerned?

@nerd_abroad I think he means it's perfect

@NoBoilerplate thanks. Born to run is probably the same kind of thing. I'm also a runner, love it

Personally I believe it's the next Google. Google returns you a bunch of unverified results, so does gpt. It's up to the user to decide if it's nonsense. It's just much quicker than Google

Did you just say "impossible to solve" lol.
