  1. Privacy is a joke while you're not really in control of your device. For a start with software like WhatsApp you're just assuming they're telling the truth that is e2e. Secondly how do you know for sure Google isn't complacent? The only secure thing to do is run open source software, and by the sounds of it on open source hardware. The issue is you can either accept it and use modern stuff or not and fall by the wayside.
