  1. It's basically "rewriting history" and shouldn't be allowed. I myself am very liberal but every time we remove a statue because it was of an awful slave driver, or redact/edit parts of books, prevent books from being available etc we're effectively deleting the past which is incredibly dangerous. Imagine if people were no longer able to learn about the genocide of WW2, we'd let things like that happen these days in places like Palestine...oh wait.

  5. Yup the "everything works on Linux" thing is just nonsense. Most stuff works, and most stuff works well.. but definitely not everything. I for example got an old thinkpad this week.. running nixos.. all super-great, even suspend. BUT the fingerprint reader doesn't work and there simply isn't a driver for it.
