  1. S-x offenders and first degree murderers get less time than this! This wasn't premediated and was a "heat of the moment" situation. She should definitely do time, like 2-5 years in prison, but a life sentence is overkill (no pun intended!) That would be as if she was a serial killer or something.

I don't think most people could lie about a story as plausible as "he pulled the trigger on my gun" in the heat of the moment like that, and if she was lying, would've used something more common, like "self defense" or "I felt threatened for my life" or something that'd be more likely to get her off the hook. So I don't think she's lying. That said, she should serve some time for directly endangering herself and others and disobeying the dispatcher by going up to a potentially dangerous man while armed. I'd say she should get 12 to 24 months for reckless endangerment or manslaughter, considering the guy still died. Life in prison for something like this is INSANE! Overkill! S-x offenders don't even get that much. I guarantee you this is going to get turned into a Hollywood movie someday. Probably with someone like Margot Robbie playing her.
