  2.  @kingsuperbobboy  They could just do stand-ins for their already existing characters, like making Stan's mom Kamala and Randy Marsh Trump this time, or Mr. Garrison as Trump again. Hell, they have people eating pets in a town called Springfield and can't think of anything to satirize? ChatGPT could come up with at least a six episode arc to this whole campaign involving The Simpsons and the Marsh family. But I don't blame them for thinking they can't out-do real life's joke world we're living in.

They got embarrassed in 2016 when they 100% thought Hilary would win, and had to change the entire plot of their planned episode overnight when Trump actually won, as well as pretend Mr. Garrison was Trump for the next four seasons. So I think they just don't want to embarrass themselves again. They can't out-parody real life, anyway; but I think they could at least try.
