  1. Yes the UK has been very lucky not to need that type of aircraft at sea or other before any of the F35's turned up. At the start of 2020 I was laid off from my aircraft work thanks to the Corona travel ban where I was working I could have stayed as we also built parts for the F35 but at the time the UK only had 14 of them and most of those in the USA.
