  1. 1friendlysoldier It was the biggest non nuke blast ever in history that was man made. They even heard it in Italy from the mid of the UK where the blast was at RAF Fauld you can still see the hole in the UK on Google Earth and the area is still closed off.

  3. +359 Michaelward Threads was the first one made then the US made The Day After. But there was a film made by the BBC years before which the UK Gov banned for years from being shown it's in black and white but is good if you can find it ??

  5. 1friendlysoldier Thank you I was always told it was bigger ? There was something on TV tonight about it and they said it was just over 4,000 tons of HE that went up at RAF Fauld.

  6. 1friendlysoldier Cheers I am trying to find out what was on the French ship in tons but all I find is what it had on the ship and it was a mix and not just one type which inc barrels of fuel which started the fire that then set off the rest of the HE cargo. I also found there was an explosion on a ship in Bombay, India in WW2 which made some good reading.
