  2. For a time they were at RAF Ibsley in the New Forest as it had a long runway for it. The same air base where some of the film The First of the Few was filmed with David Niven. Thank you.

  9.  @fredericksaxton3991  Yes the control tower and a few other things are still there. Sadly the control tower was bricked up and is now covered in spray paint. When it was an open building it was clean. Thank you.

  13.  @sandervanderkammen9230  Why don't bother to READ what I said ?? The skilled workers were lost because the Nimrod was cancelled ! Also the corrosion problems were only on the first air frames FRA were given to work on as these were non flying and had been left in Scotland to the weather outside after being stripped down that is the fault of the wankers at the MOD and UK Gov the Nimrod that came into FRA when I was still there had NO problems as it came in straight from the RAF who flew it into FRA. Also the new Nimrod that was sent to Boscombe Down for flight tests and other had NO problems with it. My last full time aircraft work was for Airbus and the F35's and I was laid off because of the Corona AIDS from China I was told I would be called back but the flight ban went on far too long and the company closed. I now only work part time for air ambulances across the UK at a sawmill. NOT a great use of my skills and knowledge but that's the way it is after being let down so badly by scum in the UK Gov. 🖕

As for the UK buying from others the USA does the SAME thing they have brought a total of four aircraft I know of and still use Rolls Royce engines and were begging to buy the Brimstone from the UK. The new nimrods were only f**ked because of the UK Gov and MOD NOT buy the people building them the same as the TSR2 was and the problems with the F35. You really know NOTHING at all thinking you have to drive an Air Ambulance shows YOU are a THICK c**t.

  30. I worked on the Nimrod aircraft at Bournemouth airport with FRA I was fucked off with being laid off and lied to when it was cancelled as I was nearly made homeless but the UK Gov yet again ! The first time was because of the Dunblane cover up and lies under the Labour Gov of the UK.

When I lived and worked at Boscombe Down in the 1980's people there will still talking about how amazing this aircraft was it's a pity it was fucked up by the Labour Gov in the long term it would have worked out better and cheaper to have the TSR2 aircraft for the UK and others and it's a shame there is only old film/videos to see it flying. I must still get to Cosford or Duxford one day I did plan on going this year but the Corona AIDS fucked that up so far ! :(
