Face it, MMT, along with neo-classical economics and neo-liberalism, are all ideological justifications for a plutocratic elite of robber barons siphoning off wealth for themselves and impoverishing everyone else. It's the ideology of the wealthy and the privileged; of the 1% or 5%. MMT is more akin to theology and secularised Christian apologetics (theodicy) than science, except in substitutes the invisible hand of the market for God.
