  1. More like it had a ritual significance, like being used by priests in some form of divination; an occult object. Are they typically found close to temples dedicated to Mithras or some other deity closely associated with the Roman military?

  2. Jesus Christ is — literally — a myth. No such person ever existed. That aside, very real sacrifices of captured enemies did occur at the end of a Roman Triumph where, after being paraded through the streets of Rome, they were ritually garrotted as an offering to the god of war and the patron deities of the city.

  3. A dairy cow has to be kept pregnant and then the calf is usually killed/aborted. Imagine being pregnant for most of your adult life and then having any babies you have killed. Imagine constantly lactating... swollen, painful, blistered udders.
