  2.  @UNGOLIATH-x4n  Also, the USA joined when it was clear that Germany had lost the war and that Russia would take most of Europe if the USA didn't intervene by at least occupying France. As capitalists (and many secret fascists) they didn't want communist or socialist governments put in power in the wake of a Soviet victory controlling Europe.
