Perhaps Christian iconclasts vandalised it during the time of the Eastern Roman empire when polytheism was outlawed.

1. It was the United States that reneged on fulfilling the terms of the peace agreement, not Vietnam. 2. Afghanistan was brutally attacked and several millions of its people killed during the occupation due to the false flag of 9/11 (like the false flag that got the USA involved in Vietnam). And its people are starving due to continue US sanctions and freezing of Afghanistan's assets. 3. Killing Iran's army chief (a country that has not attacked the USA, nor is at war with) while on a peace mission in an extrajudicial killing worthy of a mafia mobster just to sabotage that peace deal is not something to brag about. 4. Turning a country into a vassal state of the USA is not liberation and, in the case of the Philippines after a false flag, certainly isn't.

@kyriss12 What the Germans, Italians and Japanese were doing is what the British, French, Americans, Belgians, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese had done in the previous century with the exception that, apparently, back then it was okay,

Not much discussion of how the United States deliberately provoked Japan by giving military aid to China and sanctioning it. Just like today with its provocations and sanctions of Russia and China.

@badreality2 You're forgetting the bit about how the USA first arms your neighbours and then uses them in a proxy war against you.

Stop using the word "girls" for sexually mature women. It's irritating! They are not teenage girls they are women and the fact that they are between 13 and 19 (their teens) is, or should be, largely irrelevant depending on circumstances. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and waddles like a duck… then basically it's a duck. I'm given to thinking that it is the material conditions, especially economic, that determines the suitability for marriage/reproduction among youth and that these conditions have changed (or may always have been different) in Europe in comparison to the rest of the world, differences that only increased with the advent of the industrial revolution. Incidentally, in this video there appears to be an implicit and subtle bias in favour of (western) European/North American norms, like as if these should constitute a universal moral standard and any traditional norms not in accordance with them are passé.
