@buddyluv584 And it was the UK that handed over Czechoslovakia at Munich.

An American one. They apply the same standards to their concept of free speech that they apply to their democracy – two slightly differing versions of the same idea.

Is she a single mum? Is being a mum not work to you? Perhaps she should hire a nanny or an au pair or something so she can go to work. Pay someone to look after her children (who can, no doubt, pay someone else to look after their children to the point that no one is looking after their own children because there all busy working and other people are looking after them). Envious/jealous much? It isn't so much the people who play the system who should be blamed, but the system itself and the people who force people to play the system (and no more so than those who earn the most money but pay the least taxes yet are always misdirecting peoples anger at the weakest, poorest and most vulnerable in society).

Cultural imperialism. And now they support infanticide (abortion).

Yet it's said by an arch capitalist working for the likes of the eugenisist Bill Gates.

Yes, but they can be used by the USA and/or the European Union to break up the United Kingdom when it becomes expedient. Ditto for their Welsh and Irish counterparts. Think Yugoslavia.

@christinerussell113 That's strange because the Chinese seem to be doing just fineright now. In fact, they're running rings around the self-proclaimed leader of the 'free' world. And under communism both Russia and China were turned from undeveloped feudal backwaters to powerful and fully developed superpowers within two generations, so much so that the USA had to waste both blood and treasure in trying to do everything in its power to destroy, as a certain Noam Chomsky put it, the threat of a good example. So much so that they bankrupted themselves in the 1960's to stop the growth of what is condescendingly referred to as the 'Global South'.

You're pointing at the elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about. It's so blindingly obvious what you said is true that... well, people are blinded by it. If you don't stop talking sense this minute you might find yourself cancelled. Talk nonsense like the rest.

Is she a settler/colonist? Where is she going to be housed, on stolen land? — I'm sure the Irish and Scots escaping famine and the highland clearances coming over to the Americas as refugees, exiles and indentured labour would have said the same of the Native Americans, but would that have made their genocide any more legitimate?

If Russia, China, North Korea and India didn't have nukes.... Or If Libya, Syria, Iraq, Iran had possessed nukes.... [ Can you fill in the blank? ]

They are not even our nuclear weapons in the first place; they belong to the USA. 💯%. They serve only to make the British Isles a target in case of a nuclear war and for prestige purposes, allowing us an undeserved seat on the Security Council we might not otherwise have. The USA wants to make sure that if it goes down Europe will go down with it as well (as will all the other countries where the USA has stationed, overtly or covertly, its stockpile of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons of mass destruction).

But Taiwan is already Chinese. Its like asking what if the USA invades the South if it secedes.

@mayowankenobi How can you say that‽ Private property is the bedrock of the economic system known as capitalism, in this case other people's (Native American's) property. Like the Enclosure Acts in England, the Highland Cleareances in Scotland and the absentee landlordism of Ireland, capitalism promotes and sanctifies the privatisation and monopolisation of all resources necessary for human survival by a select few at the expense of everyone else. It deliberately creates artificial scarcity to push up prices, in so doing creating a desert where there was once an oasis. There's enough food to feed the world several times over. Ditto housing. And yet hundreds of millions die of starvation or go hungry and without shelter because of... capitalism.

I'm sure a black man born in Haiti during the same period would, a fortiori, say the same about capitalism.

Only they aren't deterring anyone. If a war between the superpowers goes nuclear the USA's stockpile of nuclear weapons in Britain will all be meaningless. And let no one be under any illusion, the USA, Russia, etc. – the one's who actually possess nuclear weapons – are the only ones who can make that fateful decision.

He doesn't support Putin, communism or the war against Ukraine so at best he's what's called a liberal, that is, a devil's advocate, who gives token pushback but otherwise more or less supports the mainstream position.
