  2.  @giberaro5217  As an Englishman who has worked with Polish women, I can attest personally to their being, on average, better looking than native English women. The same goes for Ukrainian women. They seem to be better educated too.

  8. Lots of preconceptions as to what marriage should be and unspoken assumptions about what is acceptable in the modern world. And what's with the coy language: boy and girl instead of man and woman?

  9.  @bjarke7886  All societies have morals and ethical standards and I think most, if not all, have certain traits in common. That said, the idea of rights as expressed by the United Nations and the European Union are essentially western European in origin and after a century or more of western cultural hegemony may now be under challenge.

  10.  @jessebraun4131  Not under capitalism it ain't! Why do you find the haves in the USA and Europe are so against egalitarianism when advocated by the have-nots? They think it's a communist idea. They may say that 'all men are created equal' but when it comes to sharing out resources equitably they're pretty much determined to keep some men as more equal than others (they deserve their inherited wealth, you know, 'cause they worked hard for it, blah, blah, blah).

  11. Agreed. Assimilation by mainstream society would be the death knell of the unique Roma subculture. The very things that make them what they are also what sets them apart and invites ostracism and obloquy.
